When a Mek gets hold of instant Mold

Before knocking up the Kommandos, after stumbling across on a blog post (sadly can't remember who's), I'd seen a number of videos for Instant Plastic Clay. Knowing I wanted to have lots of details on the Kommandos I ordered some at the same time as the small Kromlech backpacks.
Having not used the clay for the Kommandos I've crack it open to help with the Mek gun and Gorka/Morkanaut. With the mek gun last shown as above, read on after the break to see how it's looking.

Yes We Kan

Previously I talked about being inspired by Bill King's use of colour. For me it was the faded red and the use of green that caught my eye since green and red are my chosen colours for vehicles.
After a trip to GW and a dig through my older paints I've now finished my first Killa Kan so see how he's come out after the break.

Wayland Games Centre visit.

Sadly my little one has been poorly thanks, to teething causing a chest infection (not for the first time) and I had to take some time off work so there blogging plan sort of fell apart, something I hope to fix today.
On monday the 22nd Lester and I made it to Wayland Games Centre for our battle, and with my army all neatly packed up ready I was quite excited to get a game in. While not a full battle report read on to see how it went.

Kommandos assemble

As with all Ork's Kommano's offer a lot of scope for conversions, serious or hilarious such as deminstrated by Kleiner Zorn in a post on the or the better know example he gave as insperation on his blog.
For me I want a mix of both but to start the ball rolling I finished The grand Belly ripper himself Gitsnik Gutspilla and present him after the break.

Tinklaw's Boyz

Bill King's Ork sub. take a look at his stuff on deviantart
Right so checking my blogroll yesterday morning and I do love faeit 212's 'What's on your table'  and yesterday saw a couple of nice monowheel type tanks, however a link to the guys inspiration lead me to the above piece on deviantart and then my jaw dropped.
So I suppose it time for me to pull me finger out and get on with a to do list/Army list for next monday. See what I've got after the break.

Back to bases.

Been a bit quiet lately due to a nice holiday in germany visiting my parents and then a busy couple of weeks back at work. One interesting point from the holiday was visiting some of the places you can see from Mum and Dads flat, in the spurs of the Odenwald mountain range, Frankenstein Castle
and Auerbach castle.

While away I only managed a couple of evenings of hobby time despite taking paints and models however since being back I have managed some hobby time. Mostly this has been experimenting but I have some results to share after the break.
